I would like to refer to these bits in a list. How would I accomplish this? For example: uint8_t bits[32]; memcpy(&bits, &byte, 32); This, however, assumes that byte is 32 bits in size. The hardware register may be 32 bits, or it may be 64 bits, etc. What if I want to transfer 32 bits to a register of 32 bits? Is there a method to accomplish this without casting each of the 32 bits? For instance, if the register was a uint32_t, then casting would not be necessary. Is there a way to transfer 32 bits to a uint32_t, or any number of bits,
